I've found my way to study...

For years I've not really known how to study the bible, finally I've found it. It suits me beings that it's highly analytical and I hope to glean as much as possible from the bible now. So here's what I've done thus far...

Romans 12: ¹And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all He has done for you*. Let them be a living and Holy sacrifice—the kind He will find acceptable*. This is truly the way to worship Him*.

12:1a Not only are we to give our bodies to God, but it’s on account of everything that God has done for us that He deserves that we give Him our whole selves, especially our bodies.

12:1b This tells us the type of sacrifice God will accept: a living and holy sacrifice. He desires our sacrifices to be holy, but also “living,” which, in my mind, means continual—ongoing—for as long as we live.

12:1c Finally, we are shown the “true” or correct way to worship Him.  Granted this sentence could reference any of the aforementioned ideas, but I generally go to the basics. He asks for an acceptable sacrifice that is living and holy. So the “true” way to worship God is through a holy sacrifice that lasts as long as you live.
